For confident handling, easy clipping and the finest styling and quality.

Alpha carabiners have grippy back bars, deep rope baskets and a shape that sits naturally in the hand for ease of use. Solid gates improve handling and clipping action, and a rubber keeper on the rope end ensures the carabiner loads in its strongest orientation.

The Alphas are mounted on a thick nylon sling that makes it easier to haul back to your high point on a route. The quickdraw for sport climbers who prize easy handling and quick clipping

Sport quickdraw for durability and easy clipping
Sport carabiners are mounted on durable nylon to create robust and easily clipped quickdraws. Sport carabiners have extra material in areas of high wear to deal with the repeated falls and intensive use of sport climbing. The nylon sling used to connect the carabiners is highly durable and easy to grab when working routes.

Ergonomic carabiner design for positive handling and easy clipping
The Alpha’s shape fits naturally in the hand, and combines with its large gate opening to make the carabiner very easy to clip. Grooves on the back bar increase grip for confident handling.

Solid gate carabiner at bolt end for positive handling
Solid gates are robust and give positive handling. Grooves in the gate give extra grip, increasing control when making tricky clips. Solid gates are also better able to deal with the wear and tear of modern sport climbing.

Bent gate carabiner at rope end for easy clipping
These gates are shaped to guide the rope into the carabiner during clipping. Grooves in the gate improve handling, for greater control when making tricky clips.

Keylock nose eliminates snagging
This carabiner’s nose slots into a groove in the gate, allowing it to achieve full strength without a gate notch. This creates a clean internal profile that won’t catch on gear, bolts or slings, giving easier clipping and stripping of routes.

I-Beam construction for optimum strength to weight ratio
I-Beam construction techniques allow carabiners to be lighter without compromising strength. This is achieved through hot forging, a process which allows metal to be made into complex shapes that improve functionality.

Thick nylon sling for durability and easy grabbing
Sport carabiners are mounted on thick Nylon webbing, creating durable quickdraws that are easy to haul on when you’re working routes.

Contrasting carabiner colours identify rope and gear ends of quickdraw
Contact with wires and bolts can mark a carabiner with sharp edges that might be harmful to ropes. The carabiners on our quickdraws are differentiated by colour, allowing you to consistently use the same end for either protection or ropes.

Quickdraws were originally designed to improve clipping efficiency (both when placing or redpointing) from the alternative (sling + 2 carabiners). Any and all quickdraws achieve this simplistic goal however, like many things, it is only after a degree of proficiency is achieved that subtle nuanced refinements of top-level quickdraws are appreciated - and the cost justified.

Lip-less gates and deep apex's / nose of the biners ensure silky smooth clipping (and cleaning - particularly appreciated on overhanging routes). The increased bulk (relative to an alpine 'draw) helps ensure that the Alpha Sport does not get "lost" in your hand - it offers reassuring "presence" and the wide dogbone helps in this regard while also making "yarding" (French Free) easier and more comfortable.

As a dedicated Sport 'Draw, the potential "gate-flutter" posed by the solid bent gate (the rope end) is not of any meaningful concern.
